🎮 Overview

What makes Doodle Drive stand out?

Doodle Drive is a driving game where you do not steer the car: you draw the road in front of it. Tap to go and the car sets off on its own. Ahead are gaps in the ground, walls, drops and strips of spikes, and the only way across is the road you draw with your finger. Every line you draw turns into a yellow crayon road the moment you draw it, and the car drives straight onto it. While your finger is on the screen, time slows right down, so you can draw with care, even with the car racing towards the edge. The catch is the Ink: every stroke uses some of it, so a short, neat bridge is worth more than a long scribble. Coins float over the gaps for anyone who draws an arched bridge, and time in the air and flips earn style points. Finish a level to earn coins, get up to three stars, and spend your coins in the Garage on eight cars, from a police car with flashing lights to an ice cream van and a neon Cyber truck. Doodle Drive has no end: there is always another level.

Game Rules

The car drives by itself at a steady speed, and your job is to give it a road. Draw a bridge from one edge of a gap to the other, a ramp up to the top of a wall, and a high bridge over spikes. A line that starts near the ground joins it, so bridges connect neatly. Draw a slope too steep and the car gets stuck; draw a bump too sharp and it flips and crashes. Leave a gap and it falls in. Touch the spikes, even with a road drawn through them, and you get a Flat Tire. When your Ink runs out, the line stops where it is. Reach the flag to clear the level: one star for finishing, one for keeping at least a third of your Ink, and one for collecting most of the coins. New obstacles appear as you go, and every fifth level is a boss level with more of them and double the pay. Each level is the same every time you play it, so a tricky stretch can be learned.

Step-by-step to play Doodle Drive:

1. Tap the screen, or press Space or Enter, to set the car off.
2. When the car nears a gap or an obstacle, touch the screen and draw the road ahead of it. Time slows down while you draw.
3. Start your line near the edge of the ground so it joins the road, and finish it on the other side.
4. Draw ramps gently and bridges high enough to clear the spikes.
5. Reach the flag to finish the level and collect your coins and stars.
6. Spend coins on More Ink and Income upgrades, or visit the Garage to buy and drive new cars.

Tips for mastering Doodle Drive:

- Short and straight saves Ink. A bridge only needs to reach from edge to edge.
- Arch your bridges a little when there are coins above a gap: it costs a bit more Ink but earns a star.
- Start a ramp early. A long, gentle slope climbs a wall; a short, steep one leaves the car stuck.
- Over spikes, draw a flat-topped bridge that stays well above the tips.
- Don't draw on flat ground. The car drives there by itself, and the Ink is better spent on the next gap.
