What makes Ram Rush stand out?

Ram Rush is a 3D racing game where the fastest way to the front is straight through the other cars. Every race puts you at the very back of the grid, and you have to finish in the top three. Your car drives itself; you steer it with one finger. Swerve hard into a rival running alongside, or hit it from behind while you are faster, and it is a Takedown: the rival goes tumbling off the road, out of the race, and its Nitro becomes yours for a burst of speed, with a moment of slow motion to enjoy the crash. The road is busy with slow traffic and road works, and from the third level the police join the chase with their sirens on. Earn coins for every race, upgrade your Nitro and Income, and spend the rest in the Garage on eight cars, from a red sports car to a fire truck and a neon Cyber truck. Ram Rush has no end: there is always another race.

Game Rules

You start at the back of a field of five to eight rivals. Finish in the top three to win the race: three stars for first place, two for second and one for third. Slam into a car from the side, or ram it from behind while you are clearly faster, to take it down and take its Nitro; a light touch just bumps the two of you apart. Crashing into road works costs you a heart and most of your speed. Police cars chase you from behind and cost a heart each time they ram you, but you can take them down too, for a big bonus. You have three hearts: lose them all and you are Wrecked, or Busted if it was the police. Every fifth level is a boss race with more rivals and double the pay. Each level is the same race every time you play it, so a tricky stretch can be learned.

Step-by-step to play Ram Rush:

1. Tap the screen, or press Space or Enter, to start the race.
2. Drag left and right to steer. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or A and D.
3. Swerve into rivals beside you, or ram them from behind, to take them down and grab their Nitro.
4. Steer clear of the road works and slow traffic you don't want to hit.
5. Keep the police off your tail: outrun them on Nitro or take them down.
6. Cross the finish line in the top three, then spend your coins on upgrades and new cars in the Garage.

Tips for mastering Ram Rush:

- A sideways slam is the surest Takedown. Pull alongside a rival, then swing into it hard.
- Chain your takedowns: every one refills your Nitro, and Nitro makes the next ram easier.
- Civilian cars give half a Nitro. Hit them when no rival is close.
- Watch for the striped barriers ahead and pick your lane early.
- When a police car closes in, change lanes or boost away, and take it down if you can.
- Buy Income early. It multiplies the pay of every race after it.
